Joomla Content Management System
The Joomla content management system (CMS) is a free and open source framework for publishing content on the internet. Here at Not Web Design, we develop almost exclusively for Joomla and have been using the framework and it’s predecessor, Mambo since before Joomla existed. As of March 2012, Joomla has been downloaded more than 30 million times and powers approximately 2.7 percent of the entire world wide web, including nearly 3000 government sites. Due to it’s elegance and power, Joomla can be used by anyone from the most inexperienced website designer to a master developer.
A Content Management System (CMS) like Joomla can add and manipulate data in a database. This enables the user to add and remove content, images and other media and even change certain site configurations. The idea of using such a framework enables us to give our clients much more control of their site without needing any understanding of HTML or PHP coding languages.
Joomla has around 10,000 extensions available for download and is by far the most suited to what we do. We also develop our own extensions for other Joomla developers to use, such as our Joomla Component Creator.
What We Do
Examples of our work
We have many happy clients all over the world from projects both passed and ongoing. Our extensive portfolio shows just a few of the many sites our team have created.
I would not hesitate to recommend the Not Web Design team to any person looking to take on this kind of project easily and without too much stress or aggravation. They have been professional and a delight to work with. Thanks to them I am now the very proud owner of a website that does what I want it to do, when I want it to do, how I want it to do, and wherever I am, can be accessed or modified to suit me and my customers.
